The Deadliest Border
in the World

For this project, I was asked to research a topic that matters to me, and bring that research to life through infographics, kinetic typography, and motion graphics. I was required to write the script, create storyboards, and translate static graphic design concepts into a dynamic, informative, data-driven animation. For my research, I chose the migration crisis in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Mediterranean Sea is currently the deadliest migration route in the world. Thousands of people have died trying to reach Europe by crossing the Mediterranean Sea by boat in order to escape war, violence, and instability in their home countries. I wanted to bring attention to this crisis because I feel that many of us have become very desensitized to real news and to certain issues regarding the value of human life.
